Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to the Land of a Thousand Hills
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your driver/guide will warmly welcome you and take you on a short city tour. Highlights may include the craft market, Kigali Museum, and the Gisozi Genocide Memorial.
Afterward, enjoy a scenic two-hour drive to Ruhengeri, set against the backdrop of the majestic Virunga Volcanoes. At Red Rocks Intercultural Exchange Centre, discover Rwanda’s traditions: join banana beer makers, try basket weaving, and connect with the local community.
Optional activities for early arrivals include: exploring Musanze Caves, a village walk, or visiting the grave of Dian Fossey – the legendary primatologist of “Gorillas in the Mist.”

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for the adventure of a lifetime: gorilla trekking. Guided by rangers, hike through lush mountain forests until you meet these rare giants up close.
Spending one hour with the gorillas is one of the most moving wildlife experiences on earth. Watch them interact, play, and lock eyes with you in a moment you’ll never forget.
The trek can be physically demanding, but the reward is priceless. Bring sturdy boots, gloves, long trousers, water, and snacks to make your trek comfortable.
Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy optional cultural activities or simply relax.

Day 3: Kigali City Tour & Departure
