Why Travel
with Feather Trail Safaris

We're not just tour operators — we're storytellers, conservationists, and passionate hosts who believe travel should transform both visitor and community.

Local Expert Knowledge

Our guides are born and raised in the region. They know every fishing path, every birdsong, and every local face — providing access to authentic Entebbe that no guidebook can offer.

Safety-First Approach

Every bike is maintained to international standards. Helmets, gloves, and safety briefings are standard. Your wellbeing is built into every moment of every experience.

Conservation Committed

A portion of every booking supports local conservation projects, community development initiatives, and wildlife education programmes around Lake Victoria.

Small-Group Intimacy

We keep groups deliberately small. This means more personalised attention, deeper connections with communities, and wildlife encounters without the crowds.

Fully Customisable

Every itinerary can be tailored — pace, duration, focus, dietary needs. We shape each experience around you, not the other way around.

24/7 Guest Support

From first inquiry to final farewell, our team is available via WhatsApp, phone, and email. Questions, changes, surprises — we handle it all with a smile.

Chat with Us
What is the best time to do the cycling experiences?

Morning departures (7–8am) are ideal — cooler temperatures, lighter traffic, and better birdwatching light. Afternoon starts (2–3pm) also work well and include a beautiful sunset on the lake. We advise avoiding midday during the dry season (June–September) due to heat.

Do I need cycling experience for the bike tours?

No prior cycling experience is necessary. Entebbe's terrain is largely flat and manageable, making it ideal for leisure cyclists. Our guides set a relaxed pace and are always happy to take breaks. Children 10+ are welcome on the guided experience with a supervising adult.

What should I wear and bring for a cycling tour?

Comfortable, breathable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Sunscreen, a small backpack, and a camera or phone are great to bring along. We provide helmets, gloves, and water — so you can travel light. For the Mabamba full-day tour, bring a light jacket and insect repellent.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to guarantee your preferred date and time, especially for the Mabamba full-day experience and Ngamba Island (which requires advance permits). Same-day bookings are sometimes possible for bike rentals — contact us via WhatsApp for last-minute availability.

Is the Ngamba Island visit suitable for children?

Yes! Ngamba Island is a wonderful family experience. Children under 5 are typically admitted at reduced rates. The boat crossing is comfortable and the chimp viewing platform is accessible to all ages. Our guides ensure safe, educational encounters that are memorable for young wildlife enthusiasts.

Can I combine multiple experiences on the same day?

Absolutely. Many guests combine a morning guided bike tour with an evening sunset cruise — making for a wonderful full day of Entebbe experiences. We can create a custom itinerary combining cycling, cruising, and wildlife visits. Contact us for a tailored package quote.
