Terms & Conditions

Effective January 2025 | Governed by the Laws of the Republic of Uganda

1. Booking & Confirmation

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required to confirm a booking.

All gorilla and chimpanzee permits must be paid 100% upfront at the time of booking and are strictly non-refundable once secured.

Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment and written confirmation from Feather Trail Safaris.

2. Payment Policy

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

All transaction and bank charges are borne by the client.

Prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Safari deposit 30% – Non-refundable
  • Primate permits – 100% Non-refundable
  • 45–59 days before arrival – 50% of total safari cost
  • 30–44 days – 75% of total safari cost
  • 0–29 days – 100% of total safari cost

Where supplier cancellation penalties exceed the above percentages, the client shall be responsible for the full supplier-imposed charges.

4. Itinerary Amendments

Feather Trail Safaris reserves the right to modify accommodations, routes, or schedules due to weather conditions, supplier availability, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control while maintaining equivalent service standards.

5. Travel Requirements

Clients are responsible for ensuring valid passports, required visas for Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, and a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, cancellation, and trip interruption is mandatory.

6. Liability

Feather Trail Safaris acts as an agent for hotels, transport providers, and wildlife authorities. Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks including wildlife encounters and remote travel.

We shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss, damage, or expenses arising from third-party actions, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or modifications caused by natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
