Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Warm Welcome
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be met by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or take a short walk around Kigali’s charming neighborhoods.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour – Drive to Ruhengeri
After breakfast, begin your day with a guided city tour of Kigali. Explore historical and cultural highlights such as:
- The Gisozi Genocide Memorial – a place of remembrance and learning
- Kigali Museum – to discover Rwanda’s history
- Vibrant craft markets – perfect for souvenirs
Later, enjoy a scenic 2–3 hour drive to Ruhengeri, surrounded by the majestic Virunga Volcanoes.
On arrival, visit Red Rocks Intercultural Exchange Centre, where you’ll discover Rwanda’s traditions:

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park

Set off on your trek through the lush bamboo forests with experienced guides until you finally come face-to-face with a gorilla family. Spending one magical hour with these gentle giants is one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences on earth.
Tip: Wear sturdy hiking boots, long trousers, gloves, and carry water/snacks. Trekking can take between 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking or Cultural Village Visit – Departure
In the morning, you may choose one of the following activities before departing for Kigali:

Later, drive back to Kigali (approx. 3 hours). Depending on your flight schedule, you may do some last-minute shopping before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
