Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi (Rushaga Sector)
Upon arrival in Kigali (airport transfer & overnight in Kigali arranged on your own), your safari guide will meet you at your hotel and drive you across the border into Uganda. The 4-hour scenic journey takes you through Rwanda’s rolling hills and into the lush Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in Rushaga and check in at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (FB)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers. Begin your trek into the forest to search for a gorilla family. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and celebrating this incredible experience! Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. Day 3: Bwindi – Return to Kigali
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Kigali (approx. 4–5 hrs). Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport in time for your onward flight. This marks the end of your short but memorable gorilla trekking safari. Meal plan: Breakfast & Lunch
