This itinerary combines Uganda’s iconic mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with classic savannah wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park, ending with a relaxed night near Entebbe before departure.

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our professional safari guide who will warmly welcome you to Uganda. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe, located close to Lake Victoria.

The rest of the day is at leisure to recover from your flight and enjoy the calm surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, optional activities such as a sunset walk along Lake Victoria or a visit to the botanical gardens can be arranged.

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga Sector)

After an early breakfast, you will depart Entebbe and begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, traveling through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, rolling hills, and rural communities. En-route stops will be made for refreshments and lunch.

You will arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge, surrounded by lush rainforest. The evening is spent relaxing and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga Sector)

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then set off on a guided gorilla trekking experience, walking through dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend up to one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. This is one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon for the Batwa Experience

Day 4: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions (subject to wildlife sightings).

You will arrive at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

The day begins with an early morning game drive, one of the best areas in the park for wildlife viewing. You will return to the lodge for breakfast.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel is home to large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Entebbe

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Entebbe, enjoying scenic views along the way. Lunch will be taken en route.

You will arrive in Entebbe in the evening and check in at your hotel for your final night in Uganda.

Day 7: Departure – Entebbe

After breakfast (or early check-out, depending on flight time), you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of the safari services.

  • Gorilla trekking permits are subject to availability and must be purchased in advance (100%). Once issued, permits are non-refundable.
  • All accommodation, and activities are subject to availability at the time of booking. Availability will be confirmed upon receipt of booking confirmation and required deposit (30%)
  • Prices quoted are based on current rates and are subject to change without prior notice due to increases in park fees, taxes, fuel, or supplier charges.
  • A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from us.
  • Full payment must be completed 1 month before the commencement of the tour, as advised at the time of booking.
  • Any amendments or cancellations after confirmation may attract cancellation charges as per supplier and Uganda Wildlife Authority policies.
  • We reserve the right to substitute accommodation of similar standard in the event that the originally booked lodge is unavailable.
  • Guests must be in good physical health to participate in gorilla trekking and must follow all Uganda Wildlife Authority regulations during the trek.
  • Travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings is strongly recommended.
  • Check-in and check-out times at hotels and lodges are subject to individual property policies.
