Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Date: 11th September 2026
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional representative and transferred to your boutique hotel. The drive is short (approximately 10–15 minutes), allowing you to settle in quickly after your journey.
In the evening, unwind with a scenic sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy the peaceful ambiance, cool breezes, and beautiful views, an ideal introduction to Uganda.

After the cruise, return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Flight to Bwindi & Community Experience
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Bwindi (Kihihi Airstrip). This scenic flight offers stunning aerial views of Uganda’s countryside, lush forests, rolling hills, and rural homesteads.

Upon arrival, you will be received by your Feather Trail Safaris professional driver-guide, who will accompany you throughout your stay in Bwindi.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of Africa’s most biologically diverse forests, covering approximately 331 km². It is globally renowned for hosting nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, along with numerous bird species, primates, and unique flora.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in local culture with a visit to a community project, where you will:
- Interact with local families
- Learn about traditional ways of life
- Experience the warmth and hospitality of the Ugandan people
This cultural encounter adds a meaningful human connection to your wildlife adventure.
Return to your lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi
Today is the highlight of your safari, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest.
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced rangers. You will be assigned to a gorilla family and guided into the forest.

The trek can vary in duration depending on the location of the gorillas, but the journey itself is incredibly rewarding, passing through dense vegetation, listening to forest sounds, and tracking signs of gorilla movement.
Once you encounter the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch as they:
- Feed and interact
- Play and groom each other
- Move gracefully through the forest
Seeing the dominant silverback alongside females and young ones is a powerful and humbling experience—one that stays with you forever.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you may revisit the community or simply enjoy the serene surroundings of your lodge.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe – Equator Experience & Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kihihi Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe.
Upon arrival, you will be provided with a dayroom at your hotel, allowing you to freshen up and relax before your international departure.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief stop at the Equator line, where you can:
- Take memorable photos
- Experience the famous water experiment
- Shop for souvenirs
Later, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight.
