Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Your safari begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. A representative from your safari team welcomes you warmly and transfers you to your overnight accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to relax, enjoy the tropical weather and settle in.
Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to visit the nearby attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or the lakeside craft markets. Alternatively, you may simply enjoy the quiet atmosphere at your hotel as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Overnight in Entebbe: 2 Friends Beach Hotel, Hotel No.5, or Protea Hotel Entebbe (depending on category)
Day 2: Fly from Entebbe to Kisoro or Kihihi – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your morning begins early with breakfast at your hotel before heading to Entebbe Airport for your domestic flight. Uganda’s scenic flights are an unforgettable experience—your plane soars over Lake Victoria, lush forests, rolling hills and the dramatic highlands of southwestern Uganda.
• If you fly to Kihihi Airstrip:
You drive through savannah, terraced farms and small villages toward Buhoma or Ruhija sectors of Bwindi.
• If you fly to Kisoro Airstrip:
You enjoy stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes and drive toward Rushaga or Nkuringo sectors of Bwindi.
Upon arrival at your lodge, you check in and take time to relax in the cool mountain air. The forest surroundings, bird songs and serene atmosphere prepare you for the life-changing gorilla trekking experience awaiting you the next day. In the afternoon, you may choose to take a gentle nature walk or visit a nearby community.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Encounter
This is the day you’ve been waiting for. After an early breakfast, your guide transfers you to the park headquarters for a briefing. Rangers explain gorilla behavior, trekking etiquette and what to expect during your hike. You’re then assigned a gorilla family group based on your fitness and preference.
Your trek begins through dense rainforest, mist-covered vegetation, and steep hillsides. The forest is alive with birds, butterflies and the distant calls of primates. Depending on the gorillas’ movement, the trek can take anywhere from one to several hours.
When you find them, everything becomes still. You spend a magical hour watching the gorillas as they feed, groom, play and interact. The gentle nature of these massive primates is humbling, emotional and unforgettable. Many visitors describe the encounter as one of the deepest wildlife experiences of their lives.
After the trek, you return to your lodge for a well-earned lunch and a relaxed afternoon. You may choose to enjoy a community cultural walk, visit the Batwa (forest people) or simply rest at your lodge.

Day 4: Fly Back to Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, your guide transfers you back to the airstrip—either Kisoro or Kihihi—where you board your return flight to Entebbe. The scenic aerial views give you one last breathtaking glimpse of Uganda’s dramatic landscape.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you may connect to your international flight or spend the day at leisure depending on your schedule. Your safari ends with warm farewells, carrying with you memories of the misty forest, the gorillas and the heart of Uganda.
