Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe


Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your guesthouse. Relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight at Protea Hotel (BB).

Day 2: Flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park


Take a morning flight to Kasese, where your guide will meet you. Drive through the crater-filled landscape to Kasenyi Safari Camp, located on the edge of Bunyampaka Lake. Enjoy your first wildlife encounters and the sounds of the African savannah. Overnight at Kasenyi Camp (FB).

Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Ishasha


Travel south through Ishasha, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Explore the village of Buhoma or visit the Batwa community. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp (FB).

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking


Start early for a briefing and set out to trek the mountain gorillas. Spend up to an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to camp for lunch and later enjoy a cultural experience with the Batwa people. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp (FB).

Day 5: Border Crossing to Rwanda


Drive across the border into Rwanda, reaching Volcanoes National Park. Settle in at the Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel in Musanze and enjoy the serene surroundings. Overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel (FB).

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking


Track the rare golden monkeys through the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, drive to Kigali and overnight at Kigali Serena (FB).

Day 7: Drive to Nyungwe Forest


Travel through Butare and the Royal Palace, stopping at the National Museum. Arrive at One & Only Nyungwe House, set amidst a tea plantation, where you can relax or explore activities like trekking, mountain biking, and kayaking. Overnight at One & Only Nyungwe House (FB).

Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest


Wake early for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest, home to a diverse array of primates, birds, and butterflies. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation. Overnight at One & Only Nyungwe House (FB).

Day 9: Return to Kigali and Departure


After breakfast, drive to Kigali for last-minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Your guide will transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure.

The Gorilla Tracking included in this safari depends on the availability of gorilla trekking permits at the time of booking. These permits are strictly limited and sold out in advance, especially during peak seasons.
