Kigali, Rwanda’s clean, safe, and modern capital, blends history, culture, and vibrant urban life.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & Departure

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters for registration and a pre-trekking briefing. Here, you will be assigned to a gorilla group and guided by experienced rangers.

Set off into the forest for your gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. The trek involves hiking through dense vegetation, bamboo forests, and volcanic slopes in search of a habituated gorilla family.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch as they feed, groom, interact, and move gracefully through the forest. This rare wildlife encounter is both humbling and deeply emotional.

Trekking duration can range from 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. A moderate level of fitness is recommended.

What to Carry:

  • Sturdy hiking boots
  • Long trousers
  • Light rain jacket
