Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Tour Guide, start your journey southwest to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest but most charming savannah park. Along the way, stop at the Equator for photos and cultural craft shopping. On arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park, spotting zebras, impalas, elands, and giraffes. In the evening, relax at your lodge overlooking the park’s rolling hills.

Day 2: Lake Mburo – Kibale National Park

Wake up for a guided nature walk in Lake Mburo, an intimate way to encounter zebras and antelopes on foot. Later, enjoy breakfast and continue the scenic drive to Kibale Forest, passing through tea plantations and crater lakes. Day 3: Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Today you set off for an unforgettable adventure in the “Primate Capital of the World.” After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before venturing into the forest to track chimpanzees. These intelligent primates are fascinating to watch as they swing through the trees and interact socially. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community-guided nature walk, home to monkeys, birds, and rich plant life.

Day 4: Kibale – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Buhoma Sector)

After an early breakfast, drive south continue to Buhoma in Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Relax at your lodge as you prepare for the next day’s highlight – gorilla trekking.

Day 5: Bwindi – Gorilla Trekking Experience

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the rainforest in search of mountain gorillas. The trek can take from 2–6 hours depending on the location of the family, but the reward is beyond imagination, coming face-to-face with a silverback and his family in their natural habitat. Spend a magical one hour observing them before returning to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, transfer to the scenic Lake Bunyonyi, known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” The lake is dotted with 29 islands and surrounded by terraced hills. Spend the day relaxing, or take on optional activities like canoeing, swimming (safe waters with no crocodiles or hippos), or hiking in the surrounding areas. In the evening, watch the sunset over the tranquil waters from your lodge.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe

Enjoy an early breakfast before starting the return journey to Entebbe. This scenic drive takes you back through the rolling hills and rural landscapes of Uganda. Arrive in Entebbe in the evening, where you will be dropped off at Pelican Lodge Entebbe

Day 8: Departure

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for outbound flight.
