Day 1 – Arrival in Bujumbura & City Discovery
Upon arrival at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Feather Trail Safaris guide who will assist with your transfer to Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika, a beautiful lakeside property set along the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
As you settle in, you’ll immediately notice the calm atmosphere of the lake and the tropical surroundings that make this hotel a perfect starting point for your journey.
If your arrival time allows, you will embark on a short but insightful city tour of Bujumbura. During this experience, you will explore some of the city’s key historical monuments and landmarks while learning about Burundi’s culture, traditions, and daily life. After the tour, return to the hotel where you can relax, enjoy the lakeside ambiance, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Community & History

Day 4 – Return to Bujumbura & Departure

Upon arrival in Bujumbura, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
