12 Days / 11 Nights – Best of Uganda & Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, recovering from your journey and preparing for the adventure ahead.
Overnight: The Boma Hotel Entebbe

Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive north-west to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking safari to track Uganda’s rhinos on foot. Continue to the park and proceed to your lodge.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls, with excellent wildlife viewing along the riverbanks.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive south to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey passes through picturesque countryside, tea plantations, and rural villages. Arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge.
Overnight: Turaco Treetops Lodge

Day 5: Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Tracking
This morning, head into Kibale Forest for a guided chimpanzee trekking experience, offering close encounters with chimpanzees and other primate species. The afternoon is at leisure to relax at the lodge or enjoy the surrounding forest environment.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, reaching the remote Ishasha sector. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, and buffaloes.
Overnight: Marafiki Safari Lodge

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kazinga Channel After breakfast, enjoy a morning boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife along the waterway. Afterwards, drive south-west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through rolling hills and terraced landscapes. Arrive at your lodge near the gorilla trekking sector.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy a morning breakfast. Thereafter, drive south-west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through rolling hills and terraced landscapes. Arrive at your lodge near the gorilla trekking sector.
Overnight: Gorilla Safari Lodge in a Chalet

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a guided gorilla trekking experience. Spend an unforgettable hour observing a habituated gorilla family in the forest. Return to the lodge to relax.

Day 10: Bwindi – Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda)
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and proceed to the Uganda–Rwanda border for immigration formalities. Continue to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda, enjoying scenic views of the Virunga Mountains en route. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
This morning, transfer to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before starting your Rwanda gorilla trekking experience. Spend a magical hour with a habituated gorilla family. Return to the lodge in the afternoon to relax and reflect on this once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

Day 12: Volcanoes National Park – Kigali (Departure)
After breakfast, drive to Kigali. Depending on flight time, you may enjoy a short Kigali city tour before transferring to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your combined Uganda & Rwanda safari.
