Five unforgettable days exploring Kigali and Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s iconic mountain gorillas.

Day 1 – Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or enjoy optional sightseeing around Kigali.

Day 2 – Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, visit the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial for an insight into Rwanda’s history before continuing to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you’ll discover the country’s remarkable conservation efforts.

Continue north through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy the afternoon relaxing while taking in spectacular views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 3 – Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is the highlight of your Rwanda safari.

Following an early breakfast, transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing by Rwanda Development Board rangers before being assigned to a habituated gorilla family.

Accompanied by experienced trackers, hike through the rainforest in search of mountain gorillas. Trekking times vary depending on the gorillas’ location, but once found, you’ll spend a full hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat—an unforgettable wildlife encounter few places on Earth can offer.

Return to your lodge for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon surrounded by the peaceful mountain scenery.

Day 4 – Return to Kigali
