Day 1 – Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Feather Trail Safaris driver-guide and transferred to your hotel.
You will stay at Hotel Chez Lando, conveniently located just five minutes from the airport and close to the city center. The hotel offers comfortable rooms with private terraces overlooking a beautiful garden. Its relaxed atmosphere and on-site restaurants make it an ideal place to unwind after your journey.
The transfer covers approximately 10 kilometers and takes about 30 minutes.

Day 2 – Journey to the Kingdom of the Jungle
(Kigali – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park)
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa’s richest ecological regions, covering 331 square kilometers of dense rainforest along the western Rift Valley.
Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, approximately 400 individuals living freely in this mist-covered forest. The park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Upon arrival in the Rushaga sector, you may enjoy an optional afternoon village walk in Buhoma or explore local handicraft markets. You may also visit the Batwa community, the original forest inhabitants, and learn about their traditional culture and heritage.

Day 3 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
(Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda)
Rise early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger station for registration and briefing. Experienced rangers will guide you deep into the rainforest for your gorilla trekking adventure.
You will hike through village gardens and into thick jungle terrain, following fresh tracks and updates from trackers who monitor the gorilla families daily. The gorillas are under continuous protection, which greatly increases your chances of finding them.
When you encounter the gorilla family, you will spend one magical hour observing them at close range. Watch mothers caring for their young, juveniles playing, and the powerful silverback overseeing his group. This intimate wildlife experience is emotional, humbling, and unforgettable.
After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you may opt to experience traditional Batwa dances and storytelling performances.

Day 4 – Return to Kigali
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, Rwanda. Upon arrival, check in and relax for your final night before departure.

Day 5 – Kigali City Tour & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a complimentary guided city tour of Kigali. Established in 1907 by Dr. Richard Kandt, Kigali is beautifully built across rolling green hills and reflects Rwanda’s inspiring transformation.
Your tour may include visits to local craft markets, the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi, and the Kigali Museum — offering insight into the country’s history and resilience.
Later, your driver-guide will transfer you to the airport in time for your international flight. We recommend arriving at least two hours before departure for check-in procedures.
